Miami Gardens, Florida (AP) --
A 17-year-old girl is being treated in the hospital after being struck by a car as she tried to avoid shots that were fired at her Miami Gardens school.
The teen suffered a broken hip and collarbone. Her condition has
not been released.
Authorities say there was a fight Wednesday, Oct. 6. evening at Norland Senior High School when shots were fired. No one was hit by the bullets, but the girl was struck twice by a getaway car.
