ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- April 18, 2011 -

A teenager is accused of aggravated assault. Orange County deputies say he tried to crash into two cruisers during a high-speed chase.

Authorities say the pursuit began Sunday when the 18-year-old
left a gas station and nearly hit a deputy's cruiser. The deputy
and another deputy followed the car, which they eventually
cornered.

As one of the deputies stepped from his vehicle, the driver
drove toward the cruiser. The deputy scrambled to get out of his
way.

An arrest report says a chase ensued through multiple red
lights. The driver sped toward a second cruiser, running it off the
road.

Deputies say the driver jumped from the car while it was still
in motion. He was asked to stop twice before deputies used a Taser
on him.
