It was a semi-white Christmas weekend for residents in the big bend area as snow flurries fell from the sky today (12-26).
Folks bundled up in layers of clothing to stay warm as the temperatures remained pretty chilly - in the mid 30's throughout the day.
The tiny flurries melted as soon as they touched the ground, but folks were overjoyed to see snow in Florida.
"It's pretty nice actually, it's kind of a rarity to get the snow flurries out here, like, I think the last time I saw some was probably like a few years ago," said Nicholas Lynn.
"I have always lived in Florida, I have experienced snow a couple of times in my life, but this has been unbelievable. It's been a great Christmas experience, I was supposed to go to the beach for Christmas this year, and I missed that, so this was a great exchange," said Rebecca Johnson.
