A new football seasons is just around the corner and according to a Tallahassee Voices survey, fans in our area have high expectations for their teams.
The survey polled 421 people throughout the area on their expectations for the Florida State University, Florida A&M University and the University of Florida's football teams.
Those people polled predicted the Seminoles would finish 10-2, the Gators 7-5 and the Rattlers 7-4.
Fans around town share their optimism.
"I think if they can get past Clemson they are going to go all the way. They Have a lot of talent and I think this is the year they live up to that talent," says Noles fan, Houston Barber.
"I think they're going to do pretty good. This is my first year here and I'm behind the Rattlers one hundred percent. When we go out of town I'll be here rooting for them," says Rattler fan, Kiana Harper.
This year, panelists expect major success from Florida State. Seventy-two percent of respondents say FSU must win the ACC for the season to be considered a success.
And 17 percent of the panelists believe FSU will win the national title, tied with Louisiana State for the top spot.
All three teams kick of their seasons Saturday, September 1. FSU plays Murray State, FAMU takes on Tennessee State and the University of Florida plays Bowling Green.
