Former Florida Environmental Chief Takes Job With FPL

Tallahassee, Florida (AP) --

Former state Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Mike Sole has a new job with Florida's biggest electric utility.

Florida Power & Light Co. on Tuesday, Oct. 5 confirmed it has hired
Sole, who headed the state environmental agency from 2007 until he
resigned last month.

FLP Vice President for Regulatory and State Governmental Affairs
Eric Silagy wrote a memo to his staff last week announcing Sole had
joined the company as vice president of governmental affairs under

Sole will lobby state executive branch agencies except for the
Department of Environmental Protection.

    I use to work for Mike Sole when he was just a Bureau Chief for DEP back in the early 90's. Look out government agencies... Mike Sole is sharp, fair, ambitious, and will see right through flimsy excuses and governmental power plays... FPL... you must be preparing battle strategies... AND Mike Sole was a Marine!... Lock and Load time!...
