Tallahassee, FL--The founder of the Hope House in Tallahassee has been stabbed twice in the stomach.
The family of the victim tells eyewitness news that when they came back from church shortly after noon they noticed Tallahassee Police surrounding the organization.
TPD told them that Danny Heaberlin was confronted by someone begging for food.
Heaberlin told the person to come back later and was immediately stabbed in the stomach.
The family says Heaberlin was rushed by an ambulance to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital suffering minor injuries.
"It's really sad cause that man would have given anything he had all he had to do was ask I mean we feed people all the time that come up and ask for food, I mean we do whatever we can to help," said Mike Kennedy, assists at the Hope House.
"It could be bad at night through here, depends on what time of the night that is," said Richard Owens, a Tallahassee Resident.
