Tallahassee Lenders' Consortium Press Release
Tallahassee, Fla., - The Tallahassee Lenders' Consortium (TLC) is working with Fannie Mae to provide Tallahassee homeowners struggling with their mortgage payments with an opportunity to receive information regarding their situation and even free mortgage assistance.
The Mortgage Assistance event is scheduled for Friday, May 31, from 1:00 -6:00 p.m., and Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Tallahassee Lenders' Consortium office, 224 Office Plaza, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
Homeowners can meet with a Fannie Mae representative, TLC counselors and Florida Hardest-Hit Fund (HHF) Advisors to determine if they may be able to qualify for HHF assistance and explore other foreclosure prevention options.
First announced in February 2010 by the US Department of the Treasury, the "Housing Finance Agency (HFA) Innovation Fund for the Hardest-Hit Housing Markets" (HFA Hardest-Hit Fund) provides federal funding to states hardest hit by the aftermath of the burst of the housing bubble. To date, $7.6 billion has been infused into the HFA Hardest-Hit Fund for 18 states and the District of Columbia; Florida's total allocation currently stands at more than $1 billion.
The goal is to help troubled homeowners sustain and keep their homes, ultimately, to avoid foreclosure. Is your loan owned by Fannie Mae? Find out.
