The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is allowing folks to take advantage of a license-free fishing weekend.
This Saturday and Sunday, everyone will be able to fish for free offshore without having a saltwater license.
Local fisher Tyler Metcalf says, "Fishing licenses cost $17.50 just to go off in the boat and go fishing. It'll give them a chance to go out their with the family, enjoy, catch fish and have fun."
Every year, residents and visiting fishermen contribute 5.4 billion dollars to Florida's economy.
