The Marching Chiefs, FSU cheerleaders and coach Jimbo Fisher lighting the unconquered torch make for a combination fans say is as good as a winning touchdown.

FSU football fan, Nancy Saufl, says. "We've been season ticket holders a long time but we've never come to any spring football before this is the first time."

Fellow fan, Jamela Fordyce, says, "We saw a lot more traffic, I took the day off, but we saw a lot of traffic and you know it had to do with all this."

Fans describe this weekend of the Garnet and Gold game the best they've ever experienced. Organizers say they wanted to do more for the fans so they expanded the celebration.

Kirstin Rayborn with the Seminole Boosters, says, "We just wanted a little bit more, we've got fans coming in from all over the nation, we've got Tallahassee and the surrounding communities and we just really want them to know that this is theirs."

More than 1,200 fans gathered on the gridiron taking in the scenery before watching coach Fisher light the torch. This is now a new tradition to kick off the spring game. Then they headed to the Klemen Plaza. There they listened to live music and enjoyed Seminole celebration.

The game is Saturday, April 14th at 4pm. Tailgating areas open at 9am.
