Thomasville, GA - If you look around Thomasville, you'll see gold bows scattered across town; decorating everything from park benches, to businesses and oak trees.
In honor of September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, folks in the community are selling the gold ribbons for $10.
The bows can be purchased at Stones Home Centers in Thomasville, Cairo, Moultrie, Camilla, Bainbridge, Tifton, Donalsonville. They can also be purchased at Florida locations including Havana and Quincy.
All of the proceeds will go directly to the CURE Childhood Cancer Foundation, based out of Atlanta.
Sharon Johnson, who is the Thomasville Childhood Cancer event coordinator said, "The primary funds from CURE Childhood Cancer go to research programs. They also provide funding for families that are facing a childhood cancer diagnosis and have financial difficulties."
