TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- May 19, 2012

Florida Gov. Rick Scott is heading to Spain for a four-day trip where he will tout the Sunshine State as a good place to do business.

Scott leaves Sunday for Madrid with a group of more than 60 people that includes First Lady Ann Scott, Senate President Mike Haridopolos, Secretary of State Ken Detzner as well as executives from Florida Power & Light and Florida Crystals Corporation.

The visit comes at a time when Spain is grappling with serious economic problems including a recent slide back into recession.

But state economic development officials insist this is a good time to reach out to Spanish businesses that may be looking to move money somewhere else.

This is Scott's fifth trip abroad to promote Florida since he became governor in January 2011.
