Tallahassee, FL - Looking for a low calorie, high protein snack?
New Leaf Market is displaying a new insect based protein bar, and it's made from ground up crickets.
In other countries it is not uncommon to hear about people eating bugs, but it's a little taboo here in the U.S; however, that may not be the case for long.
New Leaf Market in Tallahassee is the first store in Florida to sell the bar.
The bar is made by the company Chapul, and it's already being sold in stores across the country like New York, California and Massachusetts.
The bar comes in two flavors, "chocolate" and "Thai". The Thai flavored is a mix of coconut, ginger, and lime.
If you want to try one of these bars, they'll be giving away samples of this bar until about 6:30 tonight.
