Holmes County, FL - On Monday (10/11/10), the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a subject that had been shot and was en route to the hospital in small car on Hwy 90.
EMS and Sheriff’s Investigators intercepted the vehicle on Hwy 90 and found a 19 year old white female had been shot in the upper left arm.
During the investigation it was determined that the victim was shot at a residence located at 1936 Newberry Lane in Holmes County, by home owner Donald Lee Marsh. Marsh was taken into custody without incident and charged with aggravated battery with deadly weapon, felon in possession of firearm, and theft.
“Though the investigation is still in the early stages it appears that the shooting is drug related” stated Sheriff Tim Brown. The victim is in stable condition at a local hospital.
