We're talking about House Divided Disorder or HDD. The symptoms show their true colors every weekend after Thanksgiving ... especially between spouses on opposite sides of the field.
Greta Sliger and Mark Mustain say, "We usually have a bet going on. This year it's that he's going to have to wear a Lyon cloth."
She bleeds Garnet and Gold while he's got gator fever.
"Fortunately Mark had other attributes, good ones. So they over rode the fact that, you know, he was decked out in blue and orange." Greta says.
While some would call it a deal breaker- this married couple call it a law of nature- opposites attract.
BUT - theirs isn't the only household suffering from HDD. You may remember the Medcalf's from a very bold house paint job back in 2006.
Lisa and Drew Medcalf first met at 'Choke at DOAK' in '94 and are celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary this year. They say every couple has a remedy for HDD. "It goes back to keeping the rules. Supporting your own team as loudly as you want. Wearing your school colors, but not saying anything ugly about the other team."
"Marriage is long and you have to make it through.' in spite of everything, it is just a football game. There are more important things in life. Not too many more but..."
