Tallahassee, FL - Tallahassee saw an increase in home sales for the month of November according to Florida Realtors. Local realtor, Gary Bartlett, said one of the reasons for the increase could be because of the lower interest rates. "It's a great time to buy because money is so cheap, that's the biggest reason, that's the biggest motivator. So many people have been on the sidelines waiting for so long to find the right time to jump in the housing market, most people feel like we're past the bottom so they're some great deals out there," said Bartlett, Owner of Gary Bartlett Real Estate.
Recent statistics show that there were more than 200 single-family homes sold in the metro area of Tallahassee in November. However, the rest of the sunshine state saw a decline. "Tallahassee didn't have the high highs or the low lows that a lot of other parts in Florida had. We've been a little bit more stable than other parts of Florida and other parts of the country."
Bartlett who specializes in the sale of homes in northeast Tallahassee said he expects 2014 to be a great real in real estate. "I think it speaks to consumer confidence I think more people coming into the market as we approach 2014. People are going to approach this new market with a great amount of confidence and I think 2014 will be better than the year we're just coming out of."
