Kissimmee, FL (AP) - Authorities say a central Florida man was
arrested after his girlfriend's infant son was hospitalized with
severe injuries.

Authorities say the infant is on life support. The 10-month-old
boy was gasping for air and was then unresponsive before
authorities arrived. He was hospitalized with injuries including
possible brain damage and fractured ribs.

The child's mother says he was sick for several days and took
him to a doctor for antibiotics. Authorities say she told then she
didn't abuse the boy.

The boyfriend also told authorities that he didn't abuse the
child, but they say he told them he may have used excessive force.

tlh, I kind of agree with you, but at the same time shooting someone would probably be deemed cruel and unusual punishment.

Anyone who abuses anyone or anything that can't defend itself...children, elderly, animals...are the most useless sort.

People who shake or hurt babies should be shot. Can we please get a law abut this? There are hundreds of babies abused out there,,,dead or permanantly damaged,,,find one and name a law. And moms? It always seems to be those boyfriends you trust so much to care for your baby. DON'T LEAVE YOUR BABIES WITH BOYFRINDS!

May have used excessive force. This dummy know what he did. This doesn't make any sense for people to be so cruel. Children are gifts from God. My prayers and heart go out to the child and the family. He will have to give an account for what he has done. "Vengeance is mine saith the Lord."
