MIAMI (AP) -- Justin Bieber is seeking a delay in his trial currently scheduled to begin next month on Florida charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license.

The 20-year-old pop singer's lawyers filed a motion Monday saying they need more time to prepare their case. Bieber's trial is currently set for May 5 in Miami.

The motion says prosecutors do not oppose a delay. A scheduling hearing is set for Wednesday.

Bieber was arrested Jan. 23 in Miami Beach after what police described as an illegal street drag race. He was not charged with drag racing.

Alcohol breath tests found Bieber's level below the 0.02 limit for underage drivers. Urine tests showed the presence of marijuana and an anti-anxiety drug in his system.

MIAMI (AP) -- A new trial date could be set for Justin Bieber in the Florida case charging him with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and possessing an invalid driver's license.

A hearing was scheduled Tuesday for the 20-year-old pop singer, who has pleaded not guilty. A previous trial date was postponed while attorneys for news organizations and Bieber wrestled with releasing police videos of him giving a drug test urine sample.

Those videos were made public last week with some segments blacked out.

Bieber and R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff were arrested Jan. 23 in Miami Beach after what police called an illegal drag race between high-end sports cars. Breath tests showed Bieber's blood alcohol content was below the 0.02 limit for underage drivers, but other tests detected marijuana and Xanax.

MIAMI (AP) -- Video of Justin Bieber made at a South Florida police station after his January arrest shows him walking unsteadily during a sobriety test.

Miami-Dade County prosecutors released about 10 hours of video Wednesday, only a few moments of which depicted Beiber. In one clip, Beiber wavers as he tries to walk heel to toe, then stumbles slightly as he turns and appears to have his arms out for balance.

The video was sought by The Associated Press and other media organizations under Florida's public records law.

Attorneys for the 19-year-old singer persuaded a judge to withhold four clips depicting Bieber urinating in a cup for a drug test.

Bieber has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence, resisting arrest and invalid-license charges following his Jan. 23 arrest.

MIAMI (AP) -- Video of Justin Bieber at a South Florida police station after his January arrest is expected to be made public, with some sensitive parts omitted.

Miami-Dade County prosecutors said DVDs of about 10 hours of video will be made public Wednesday afternoon. The video was sought by The Associated Press and other media organizations under Florida's public records law.

Attorneys for the 19-year-old singer persuaded a judge to review the sensitive sections, including four clips depicting Bieber urinating in a cup for a drug test. The judge will hold another hearing next week after that review.

Bieber has pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence, resisting arrest and invalid-license charges. Police stopped him Jan. 23 after what they said was an illegal street drag race involving exotic cars.

MIAMI (AP) -- A trial date has been set for Justin Bieber in Miami for his recent arrest on charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an invalid license.

A Miami-Dade County judge set trial for the three misdemeanors for March 3. Bieber's attorneys have already filed a written plea of not guilty. Initial trial dates are often delayed.

The 19-year-old pop star was arrested Jan. 23 in Miami Beach after what police called an illegal drag race between two exotic sports cars driven by Bieber and R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff. Sharieff was also arrested on a DUI charge.

Breath tests showed Bieber's blood alcohol content below the .02 threshold for underage drivers. But police say a toxicology test detected the presence of marijuana and Xanax in his system.

PANAMA CITY (AP) -- A Panamanian radio and television host says trouble-plagued pop star Justin Bieber has been relaxing on a beach in Panama on a vacation from the United States, where the Grammy-nominated singer faces driving under the influence charges after being arrested last week.

Eddy Vasquez was filming a show at the Pacific Coast resort in Punta Chame, about 90 miles west of Panama City, when he spotted Bieber and members of his entourage walking along the beach. He and his crew took pictures of the singer and his companions, who got on personal watercraft and traveled to a nearby island.

Police in Miami Beach said they arrested Bieber smelling of alcohol after officers saw him drag-racing before dawn on Thursday, his yellow Lamborghini traveling at nearly twice the speed limit.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Police say pop singer Justin Bieber has been arrested after drag racing on a Miami Beach street in a yellow Lamborghini and failing a sobriety test.

Miami Dade-Police spokesman Sgt. Bobby Hernandez tells WSVN in South Florida that officers saw two cars racing at 4:09 a.m. Thursday.

Hernandez says two vehicles apparently had been used to block off an area to race. He says the second car was a red Ferrari, and that driver was also arrested. Both cars were towed.

Hernandez says 19-year-old Bieber failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Miami Beach police station for a Breathalyzer and processing. Hernandez says Bieber will be transported soon to the Miami-Dade County jail.

Recently in California, detectives searched Bieber's home for evidence he might have been involved in egg-tossing vandalism at a neighbor's home.
