March 28, 2014, the Criminal Interdiction Unit, with the assistance of members of the Gateway HIDTA Initiative, served a search warrant on a residence which resulted in the seizure of suspected marijuana and the arrest of three occupants of the residence.
On March 28, 2014, officers with the Lake City Police Department Criminal Interdiction Unit (CIU), with the assistance of the Gateway High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Initiative, served a search warrant at 745 NW Long St., Lake City, Florida. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of suspected marijuana
and drug paraphernalia.
The investigation found the occupants of the residence were involved in the sale of cocaine, and they were in possession of marijuana. During the service of the search warrant, two additional arrests were made after subjects began to interfere with officers who were attempting to conduct the investigation.
As a result of the investigation the following suspects were placed under arrest and transported to the Columbia County Detention Facility for booking:

The Gateway HIDTA Initiative is comprised of officers from the Lake City Police Department, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
