Preliminary results from an autopsy performed yesterday afternoon indicate that Claudia Parrish died
as a result of blunt force trauma consistent with having been in a traffic crash. LCSO Traffic Homicide
Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.

At 10:30 a.m. on May 23, 2011, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traffic crash on Ross

bound lane and collided with a 2002 Mitsubishi being driven by Earnestine Johnson, 63.

As a result of the crash, Wilson, Johnson and Wilson’s passenger, Claudia Parrish, 85, were
transported to Capital Regional Medical Center for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries. At
approximately 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, deputies were advised that Parrish had died.

Ms.Claudie Bell was a long time friend of the Robinson and Kelly family. She gave me my first baby sitting job. What I admired the most about her was that she never appeared to be in a hurry or rush. but,God was on time!

I thank everyone for their compassion in this tragic time. My Grandmother was truly an Angel on earth, and God was ready for her to come home. She will be missed dearly, but it won't be long before I see her again. I love U Granny... I send love to all my family in this time of need. We will be strong for each other. God Bless......

Why weren't they taken to TMH? Statistics show people have better outcomes when they are treated in a trauma center. Could have made a difference in life and death.

May God strengthen each Family to bare the pain of this accident. God knows best and we must trust him to make the right decisions for our lives. Each Family will be included in my prayers. Hold on...and be strong. May God continue to bless each of you.

Ditto Beverly!! A true shock this accident was. May the Heavenly Father pour out His Healing Balm on us and help us bear this burden because a heart of gold stopped beating and two twinkling eyes closed to rest. Claudie Bell was a true friend and mother to me and my family. She was the sweetest person (cool, calm and collective), a strong woman, knowledge box of wisdom, the greatest cook, dependable alarm clock and above all, the greatest grandmother. Living right...we will see Claudie Bell again just as sure as the sun shall rise and sure to set. Her time has come so have no regrets. The memorable life she lived her family all know but a better place God had for her to go. Family (and Ms. Dot), be encouraged by the life Claudie Bell Simmons Parrish lived and take your burden to The Lord God Our Comforter in prayer.

I pray that God gives us strength to bear the loss of our beloved aunt Claudie Bell. Also we ask God's prayer for Ms. Dorothy Wilson that she not feel guilty as a result of this accident. We will miss our aunt, who was actually more of a mother to me. I will miss her 7am phone call each morning since I was 22 years old, and the wisdom she imparted to all of her family; the love and strength she exemplied, not just sometimes, but all the time and with everyone. May she take her rest with God who I believe has told her Servant well done! Come to may heavenly Kingdom and rest.
