Tallahassee, FL - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft that occurred on October 6, 2010, at the Wal-Mart located at 3221 North Monroe Street. The first suspect confronted the female victim in the parking lot offering the sale of a laptop computer. The victim agreed to the sale and walked inside the Wal-Mart store to withdraw money from an ATM machine while the suspect followed. The victim and the suspect returned to her vehicle. A vehicle that appeared to be a 2003 Lexus model approached that was occupied by a black male with dreadlocks. The suspect dealing with the victim removed the box believed to contain the computer and placed it in her vehicle. The victim later discovered that there was no computer and the box actually contained a three ring notebook full of paper.

The first suspect was described as a B/M in his mid 20's, medium build, and 5.10 to 6-2 in height. The second suspect was a B/M with dreadlocks.

There were two more similar incidents at area Wal-Mart in Leon County and it appears that women are the targets.

The suspect in the surveillance video is with the female victim and is wearing a yellow shirt with black designs.
