Thomasville, GA- Law enforcement officials in Thomasville and Thomas County will be trading in their badges for aprons Thursday.
It's all part of the 12th annual "Law Enforcement Goodwill Project," which is hosted by the Thomasville Police Department, Thomas County Sheriff's Office and Thomasville-Thomas County Narcotics Division.
The law enforcement agents will spend the day preparing meat and veggies for families in the area to purchase.
For $7, folks can receive a half chicken, green beans, corn on the cob, bread and pound cake.
All of the money raised from the dinner sales will then go towards buying Christmas gifts for needy children in the community.
Lt. Wade Glover, with the Thomasville Police Department says the event usually raises anywhere from $7,000-$10,000 and allows them to provide for about 100 children during the holidays.
