Tallahassee, FL-2014 may seem a long ways away. But for the Leon High Marching Redcoats it's just around the corner.
The band is working to raise money for its 2014 trip to London. They're schedule to participate in the city's New Year's Day Parade.
So, far they've raised more than $100,000 dollars. But they are still about $200,000 dollars short of their goal.
The band held its annual Jazz concert at the American Legion Hall at Lake Ella Sunday to help raise more money.
"It would be really important to us. We haven't done something like that for a long time. We're all really excited about it," said band member, Noah Bush.
The band estimates the trip will cost about $3,000 dollars per child. There are about 130 members in the band.
