Leon County, FL. - Commissioner John E. Dailey, Chairman of the Leon County Board of County Commissioners, is traveling to Washington, D.C., tomorrow (5-3) to take part in a national discussion on local government issues with the White House's Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA).
Chairman Dailey received an invitation last week from the White House's IGA Office inviting him to the County Officials Meeting, where senior White House and administration officials will provide remarks and participate in a discussion with County leaders.
"I am truly honored to represent Florida's Capital County in D.C., and
I am delighted that the residents of Leon County will have a voice at
the table for these discussions," said Chairman Dailey of Tuesday's
meeting. "I look forward to an interactive discussion with my fellow
County leaders and to bringing back valuable and useful information for the citizens of this region."
Dailey will participate in the White House County Officials Meeting
tomorrow, Tuesday, May 3, from 1 to 5:30 p.m. at the White House's
Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C.
Some of the issues to be discussed at Tuesday's meeting will include infrastructure, sustainable communities, health reform implementation and Medicaid.
