State representatives and community members gathered at the Leon County Courthouse to get to work on some issues and concerns in the area.
Jobs was the hot topic during the annual hearing. With Governor Rick Scott's plan of adding 700-thousand jobs in 7 years- there's a lot of concern of how he's going to make it happen, while trying to consolidate state departments, which would affect the thousands of state workers in the capital city.
(D) Representative Bill Montford says, "Governor Scott has a business background and I'm convinced that when he gets in and really gets his feet on the ground, he'll see just how hard our state workers are working, and our correctional facilities and other things and I think he'll see we're doing very well."
The 2011 Legislative Session will convene March 8th. 2011.
