Tallahassee, Fla. -- Local law enforcement is hoping to jump the gun on active shooter situations.
They stormed a building downtown during a training exercise earlier today.
The active shooter training with TPD and LCSO really showcased what civilians and officers could be faced with during a real emergency.
They stormed into this building, canvassed different rooms, rendered emergency care on hostages and then took down the bad guys.
The training was hosted by a security company based out of Miami.
The company trains officers on how to respond to mass shooter and mass casualty situations like the tragic incidents that have occurred across our country.
The goal of this entire training program is to be prepared for a mass shooting, while, of course, hoping they never have to.
