UPDATE 5/20/2011 10:52pm by Amy Long

A Tallahassee man is arrested on charges of Child pornography. Neighbors who live just driveways reacted when they heard the news.

Tallahassee Police arrested 52-year-old Lorenzo Lee Lenox at his home at 1213 Richview Road Thursday. 5/19

The North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force says during the investigation, agents found child pornography on Lenox's personal computer.

And while his blinds are closed tightly on Friday, some of his neighbors are now getting a glimpse of the man who lives next door.

Concerned neighbor, Ruth Husun says, "You're own neighbor. I don't even know who the neighbor is, but it's scary, very scary."

When we broke the news to Lenox's neighbor, Michelle Wickens, she pulled her children close to her. "I never knew anything this close to home could actually happen because I have two young kids an 8 year old and a 13 year old and it's frightening." says Wickens.

"You click (your mouse on the computer) and then you find it (porn) and that's very bad. It's not right for a child to loose innocence." says Husun

"I'm a very protective mom as it is, maybe too protective. But, it's better to be safe than sorry." says Wickens.

Lenox is facing two counts of distribution and 10 counts of possession of child porn.

Lenox is currently out on bond.

Children are molested by people they already know and trust - not by some mysterious sex offender down the street - except in very rare but well publicised cases. If you want to protect your kids watch your own friends, brothers, preachers, coaches and youth leaders and older kids living nearby - they are the ones who do it. These are the proven facts but people seem to prefer to be frightened of strangers. Look it up!

You a right about the molestation. This is why he wasn't charged with molestation. So why bring up an entirely different thing.

Why can't there be some kind of block of the sites that have this trash? In reality, the families of those accused suffer more than the accused. The innocents are punished through no acts of their own.

How can we justify blocking a site (any site), and then complain to China about blocking sites. this is like shooting someone. You know it is wrong, but we can't just remove all the guns.

You should not be surprised. Look your address up at http://www.familywatchdog.us This will allow you to find out how many sexual offenders/preditors live in your neighborhood. They are everywhere. Watch your children please. Pass this information on.

The Sex Offender registry is a joke. It doesn't stop sex offenders from doing anything. Yeah so you know where a sex offender lives, what are you going to do about it, there's nothing you can do. Sex Offenders have the lowest re-offence rate, that's a fact. Predators should never been allowed to walk the streets, but offenders are not violent. A convicted murderer, robber, assaulter could be living next door to you and you would never know it because there is not public registry for them. What's worse murder or a pictures/videos? Oh, and it costs just over $9 million last year to maintain in Leon alone the Registry that is proven to be ineffective, but our education system gets over a billion dollars in cuts while the Registry costs increases.

i don't see why the government systems waste our HARD EARNED taxes on garbage like this. i see NOTHING wrong with a "public hanging". maybe this would make these scum bags think twice about touching our children. the way i see it, it tops the list of any and all crimes. they not only distroy the childs life, but the families and friends as well. i will be more than happy to open the gallow and snap their worthless neck ending their terror on children.

Touching kids is wrong, but at no point does it state that he physically harmed a child. Learn to read.

UN-FREAKING BELIEVABLE!!!!! I live right around the corner from this F***ing piece of S***!!!!! These kind of people deserve the DEATH PENALTY for the lives they destroy!! This is just ONE reason why we can't allow our children out of our sight for even a second!

It seems like the people who make the pictures are the ones who ruin lives. I find it hard to believe they do it for strictly financial reasons. While I certainly don't excuse trafficking in it, nothing in the article says this guy harmed anyone directly, he just downloaded a series of pixels on the internet that would have been there and stayed there whether he'd downloaded them or not. Hardly deserving of the death penalty.

Take away the market for the pictures, the demand will stop, and the ones taking the pictures will quit. At least this is the thinking. Your argument about harming other people doesn't really matter here because he violated the law (allegedly) and the law doesn't require anybody to be harmed directly.

Read the article again it does not say anything about him harming anyone. I'm not saying that what he might have did or does is right, it's wrong. I'm interested in what way he was caught. If it was through a trace file I think it's called FDLE is actually breaking state and federal law.

Maybe he was preserving these pictures for historical purposes?
