A local restaurant owner is arrested on allegations of failing to file and pay back taxes.
50-year old Clementine Sherrell who owned the Sandy Bottoms Bar & Grill on Woodville Highway was taken into custody Wednesday (2-16) by the Wakulla County sheriff's Office. According to Revenue Department investigators, Sherrell failed to file six consecutive returns and refused to pay taxes. They say Sherrell collected taxes from customers at the restaurant and during various periods in 2008 and 2010, she failed to file and pay tax returns as required by Florida law.
