Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll visited Madison County today.

Carroll gave the keynote address at the Madison Military Family and Community Covenant Signing Ceremony. A standing-room-only crowd in the courtroom of the Madison County Courthouse heard from local and state dignitaries as they spoke in support of our military and their families.

Carroll emphasized the importance of communities like Madison as they care for active duty service personnel and veterans and their families.

YEA,take 5% of State employees pay when STATE EMPOLYEES have NOT had a cost of living in 5 yrs. Way to go SCOTT this is one BOZO yea I said BOZO What we’ve seen so far is in keeping with what Scott said last year during his outsider campaign for governor. The whole idea behind his $80 million hobby was to create private-sector jobs, which means running Florida government as much like a business as possible.

Did those corrections officers flinch when she stuck the knife in their backs as she and Gov Scott are trying to cut their retirement and benifits?

I have heard many republicans speak, but none as down to earth as the one given by Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll on Saturday 2/5/2011, in Madison. This woman is awesome. She spoke from her heart, and her words spoke volumes. After the program, she took pictures with the Local Corrections officers, members of her Sorority-Alpha Kappa Kappa, and the local dignitaries. I know there are some nay says out there who did not believe a word she said. I believed her and I “Believe” in my President Barack Obama! We just have to them a chance. Rome was not built in a day! I would also like to say Thank you Mrs. Carroll, for your service in the United States Navy!

What is in Madison that is military related? Is there a bombing range for MoodyAFB? Is it due to Madison County residents who commute to Moody for employment (as there is little employment for locals like a few other northcentral Florida counties). I have never heard of any military clinic there - the closest VA hospital in N.Fla is in Lake City. This must have been a "public speaking exercise" in preparation to fend off complaints about the about to be released state budget.

FABULOUS Now lets see if that speech translates into action ...putting ALL Unemployed back to work. Stemming energy cost. Ousting Illegals or any other "Promise." Or will it be all fluff and no dice .....remember Washington 08? All we get these days.
