EAST NAPLES, Florida -- August 12, 2012

A southwest Florida man has been arrested after authorities say he shoved a woman to the ground over a show dog.

The Naples Daily News reports there has been an ongoing civil dispute over Krystal, a four-year-old Bedlington Terrier, which escalated with an arrest on Friday.

Ronald Lundin is accused of approaching the dog's co-owner, pushing her to the ground and attempting to yank the dog away.

Witnesses were able to intervene and the dog and woman escaped. Lundin fled the scene and was later arrested.

He has been charged with misdemeanor battery and one count of felony possession of a controlled substance. An arrest report states pills were found in his pant pocket.
