Duval County - July 22, 2012
A man is dead after losing control of his Land Rover in Duval county Sunday at 7am. According to Florida Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Jetsely Pacheco was traveling south in the right lane of Yellow Water Road, north of Normandy Blvd.
For reasons unknown, Pacheco failed to maintain control of the vehicle and left the roadway traveling onto the right grass shoulder.
The SUV continued south along the shoulder, traveling through a shallow ditch and a wooden fence surrounding a residence located at 4600 Yellow Water Road.
After striking the fence, the SUV became airborne and began to
overturn. The roof and right side of Vehicle struck a large pine tree bringing the vehicle to final rest upright facing east.
FHP says Pacheco was not transported to the hospital and died on scene. FHP does not believe alcohol was involved.
