Perry, Fla. -- A young man has been sent to the hospital with serious injuries following a single vehicle crash in Taylor County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:35 a.m. in Perry, Fla.
25-year-old Jeffery Timoley was heading west on Cabbage Grove Road in a 2008 Chevy Silverado when he traveled across the traffic lanes onto the south grass shoulder and collided with a tree.
Timoley's only passenger, 21-year-old Christopher Westberry, was seriously injured in the accident and transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Timoley was treated at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Perry for minor injuries.
According to the crash report, alcohol was a factor in the crash.
