Suwannee County, Florida- August 30, 2012

The jury handed up the verdict Friday for a Florida man accused in a triple murder. Lonnie Munn was found guilty on all counts.

The jury spent three hours deliberating and Munn sat expressionless when the verdict was read. Munn's sentencing is scheduled for Thursday at 9 am at the Suwannee County Courthouse.

In closing statements the defense and prosecution attorneys each worked to convince the jury that Munn was or was not the getaway driver in the triple murder.

A Suwannee County family was shot to death in 2010 execution-style. Joseph and Nancy Militello and their nephew Angelo Rosales were murdered in their kitchen during a home robbery.

Munn is one of three co-defendants. The other two are believed to have done the break-in and shooting while Munn was in the car.
James Howze plead guilty and is serving a life sentence without parole. Kieth Hughes committed suicide before ever being charged.

Brittany wants to know the truth about her father Lonnie Munn. She watched him in court Thursday, the second day of his trial for felony murder, hoping to find some answers.

"We're just so confused. The past two years we didn't know what was going on. All we hear is hear-say from other people," Brittany Munn said.

Lonnie Munn is one of three men charged in the shooting deaths of a Suwannee County family in August 2010. Joseph and Nancy Militello and their nephew Angelo Rosales were shot execution-style in their home.

"I want my dad home but if he is guilty he should get what the court says. I mean I don't think he is but if he did something I think the court will find justice (for him)," Brittany Munn said.

Both sides agree Munn was planning to be the get away driver in a plan to rob a so called "Rich Hay Farmer". James Howze plead guilty to the crime and is serving a life sentence without parole.

Howze and Keith Hughes broke into the residence. Howze says Hughes was the one who physically shot and killed all three people. The prosecution is working to determine if that is true. Hughes committed suicide before he could be charged.

Howze says Munn was long gone when they came back out. The prosecution contends he was there, but either way it does not matter because of the "Felony Murder Principal Theory". That means that even if it is true that Munn was not there when they came back out that he is still guilty because he had planned to take part, whether he followed through or not.

During testimony a Suwannee County Sheriff's Investigator said Munn was found with some of the victim's jewelry.

The trial will continue Friday.
