GAINESVILLE, Fla. - June 3, 2012

Police say a north Florida man suspected of shooting his ex-girlfriend has died in custody after having convulsions.

Gainesville Police Cpl. Angelina Valuri says Trevon Miller had taken numerous sleeping pills before the shooting Saturday at his apartment. The woman suffered a minor wound to her neck.

Valuri says Miller briefly barricaded himself inside the apartment and fired shots out a window. Police did not return fire, and no other injuries were reported.

The Associated Press reports that Miller had surrendered and was handcuffed when he started having convulsions. Miller was pronounced dead at a hospital.

good grief, you all act as if the police held his nose and poured the pills down his throat. He does not sound as if he was the sharpest knife in the drawer!

It certainly was the police hazing just like it was on Robert Champion. He had convulsions just like the gentleman in handcuffs did. Hazing is really a nice way of saying "murder" because the police knew he didnt like being place in handcuffs and that be why he is departed this good earth. It was either the lawman of the bus driver fault. I have proof because you will see a lawsuit. He only took 26 sleeping pills and barely shot his wife.

How do you barely shoot someone? You either shoot them or you don't. Your posts are ridiculous. I bet if we were to do a public records search on you, we would find out why you are not so fond of cops. Cop-bashers normally are not the most law abiding citizens.

It was aaid on the news that she was barly wounded in the neck so she had to have been barely shot. The police had him in custody and cause him some convulsions. IT was a matter of police trying to keep us from hazing even when she asked to be hazed. I have the Reverend Sharpton and Reverend Holmes on my side. You can do a public records or DOC search on me anytime. I be having s perfect record.

Okay, I will. I'm glad you have people on your side, or so you think. I don't think they are cop-bashers such as yourself, though. Also, think about what you are saying. "She was barely wounded in the neck." He SHOT at her. Do you get that? He hit her in the neck. What are you not understanding? Because he is a lousy shot and because she is incredibly fortunate to still be here, he is not such a bad guy? He tried to kill her! Are you for real?

Why would you blame the cops for this guy overdosing on sleeping pills! Cause and effect... He took a bunch of pills, and his body reacted. The police had no control of this.

I say it is a good thing, less expense to the tax payers.

It was just a matter of hazing. The police were not employees but just being paid by taxpayers to keep hazing alive and well.

Where did you get hazing from? It does not even say that he was mistreated. Believe it or not, law enforcement is not always to blame when something goes wrong.

I did not got any hazing. I said the police must have been hazing the victim who got some convulsions andc up and died. Nobody thinks or said hazing is mistreating anybody. They only hit that girl on our band bus 200-300 times and she was afraid to ride it back to Tallahassee. You peeples need to get some understanding or some stimulus money to get treatments.

Carol, you are an idiot. Does medical confidentiality mean anything to you? Oh, learn to spell and use grammar correctly before posting what you believe is profound wisdom. It undermines your attempt at sounding well informed or educated.

Most especially when it is well established that you couldn't care less about the child's future as long as you keep getting those social service benefits. Right? That is what the historical evidence says, clearly. Wow. 'ol Forest Gump really got it right . . . .

Was it determined if the arrested died of having convulsions before or after she was brought into costudy? Also, was he a person with a seizure disorder, reliant on antiseizure nmedications? Cops ough to know these things. C,

How would the cops find out these things (Medical problem) if the Criminal doesn't tell them ?
