Pensacola, FL (AP) - A Florida Panhandle man has been
sentenced to 16 years in prison for a crash that killed one of his
teenage passengers.

An Escambia County judge sentenced James Gray Hartsfield II on
Friday. He had pleaded no contest to one count of vehicular
homicide, three counts of felony reckless driving and driving on a
suspended license.

Witnesses say Hartsfield had been driving at speeds of more than
120 mph on the Pensacola Bay Bridge in September 2009, shortly
before he crashed into another vehicle. One of Hartsfield's
passengers, 15-year-old T.C. McCoy, was killed in the crash. Two
other teens in Hartsfield's car and the 72-year-old woman driving
the vehicle Hartsfield hit were injured.

Blood tests taken after the crash found marijuana and cocaine in
Hartsfield's system.
