Tampa, FL (AP) - A Brandon man has been sentenced to 30 years
in prison for beating and stabbing a man and then burning him
As part of a plea deal, 20-year-old Brendan Lee Terry pleaded
guilty in Hillsborough County Thursday to second-degree murder and
kidnapping in the May 3 slaying of 26-year-old Robert Mason Brewer.
Authorities say Brewer went to a party, where an argument led to
him being attacked and killed.
Two others, 21-year-old Kasey Lee Ackerman and 34-year-old Randy
Allen Morris, still face charges of first-degree murder and armed
kidnapping for the killing.
Another man, 19-year-old David James Link II, pleaded guilty in
September to being an accessory after the fact and received three
years in prison. His mother, 38-year-old Rosanna DiMauro, faces a similar charge.
