Michelle Rehwinkle Vasilinda has been re-elected for a second term to the Florida House of Representatives. She considers herself a leader in energy conservation.

Her opponent Kirk Headley-Perdue says she will continue to be an advocate for people in the state.

We spoke to both candidates about the outcome of the election.

Vasilinda said, " Thank you, thank you for supporting me, thank you for understanding that I wanted to do a good job and that I did work hard. And to my opponent, I thank you for having a civil race."

Headley-Perdue said, " I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the folks that have supported me and voted for me."

Vasilinda had a quiet dinner with close family and friends at her home and Headley-Perdue awaited results at Paradise Grill and Bar.
