ANDERSON, Mo. (AP) -- A 6-month-old Missouri boy who was missing since Jan. 2 has been found safe in Florida and his parents are in custody.
Authorities say the infant, Mitchell Farris, was found with his parents Sunday in Miami.
Anderson police allege the boy's father, 34-year-old Preston Farris, took the child from the home of the great-grandfather, who has legal custody.
Farris and the child's mother, 30-year-old Anastasia McDaniel, are being held in the Miami-Dade County jail without bond, awaiting extradition on warrants for parental kidnapping. Jail records don't indicate if they have attorneys.
Anderson police said Monday the child is in the custody of Florida child services until Missouri authorities arrive to pick him up.
Further details about the couple's arrest were not immediately available.
