TALLAHASSEE - May 30, 2012 -

The Florida Lottery announces that Donald Vickers, 60, of Hosford, claimed a $3,000,000 prize in the GOLD RUSH TRIPLER Scratch-Off game and chose to receive his winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,950,000.

Vickers purchased his winning ticket at Publix, located at 2111 N.E. Capital Circle in Tallahassee. The $20 Scratch-Off game, GOLD RUSH TRIPLER, is the latest installment of the player favorite, GOLD RUSH Scratch-Off games. GOLD RUSH TRIPLER offers better odds of winning $30 to $500, compared to previous GOLD RUSH games, and the best odds ever to win $500,000. The overall odds of winning are 1 in 2.95.

The Florida Lottery offers approximately 60 Scratch-Off games at any given time through instant ticket vending machines or on-counter displays at more than 13,000 retailers statewide. Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, making up approximately 56 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $455 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2010-11.

I will spend one more dollar for Saturday, haha I even told some out of town friends there has been a lot of winning here lately. Guess the ju-ju has moved up here from down south.

Congratulations Mr. Vickers. You are not going to find friends you never knew you had. Be careful, spend wisely and you are set for life. If it were me, I would have never let my name be put out there publicly though.
