High school football's national holiday is finally upon us: National Signing Day. Signing Day means college football fans around the country are wondering what to expect from these new recruiting classes.
Seminole fans will be happy to hear that the number one national recruit, Mario Edwards, a junior out of Denton, Texas firmed his commitment to FSU last month.
The Seminoles also have a hard commit from five-star quarterback Jameis Winston out of Hueytown, Alabama.
In addition, the Seminoles are holding out hope that prospects Ronald Darby out of Maryland,
Eddie Goldman out of Washington, D.C. and Josh Harvey-Clemons will fax letters of intent, as well.
It's important to note that Harvey-Clemons won't be coming to Tallahassee from as far away as Maryland or D.C. He's a Viking coming from right up the road in Valdosta. The overall outlook for FSU is that it expects to follow last year's top-ranked signing class with another top-five group. The likely additions of Darby, Goldman and Harvey-Clemons should boost the Seminoles' already high pre-Signing Day projection.
The Seminoles should also sign Olympic-fast receiver Marvin Bracy out of Orlando and
340-pound offensive line transfer Menelik Watson out of California by way of England.
Stay with the Eyewitness Sports team for all the signing day highlights.
