Tallahassee, FL - It's been a busy weekend for Seminoles a like. FSU fans got a chance to see the new football uniforms and school logo for the very first time.
"All the merchandise that we took was the new logo and we had probably one of the strongest responses we had to all of the downtown get downs we had in the past several years," said Tony Holt, FSU Bookstore Manager.
FSU prides itself as a school with a long storied history from the warchant to Renegade, but the recent changes has some fans stirred up.
"I like the new uniforms, but I don't like the logo change. It's been around for so long I'd like to keep that traditional," said Larry Bullock, FSU Fan.
"No ones really a fan, everyone is kind of confused, but I think everyone will grow to love it eventually. It's just been a certain way for so long that I think it's kind of a shock for everyone," said Kayla Megonegal, FSU Student.
Those who went to the spring game said the new uniforms gives the football team and updated look. "It looks very 21st century and I love the Indian part of it because its man on horse, fire and arrow. I think that represents more of the Seminole nation and I'm glad they brought that into the uniform," said Sue Cattanach, FSU Fan.
Although it might take some time for FSU fans to get used to the changes, many our encouraged that it will take root in the community.
"We're very happy about the logo, we think it will be associated with FSU athletics and hopefully with the university as a tradition very shortly," said Holt.
