A new poll shows Barack Obama ahead in the key battleground states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
A Quinnipiac University survey released today 8/1/12 shows Obama with a lead of six percentage points over presumed Republican nominee Mitt Romney in Florida.. at 51 to 45 percent.
The president holds an 11 point lead in Pennsylvania.. at 53 to 42 percent, and a six point lead in Ohio.
No one has won the White House since 1960 without winning at least two of these states. The Florida portion of the poll surveyed almost 1200 likely voters last week in Florida, with a margin of error of just under three points.
