The New Years holiday consistenly ranks as the number one deadliest day to drive; all of the crashes are alcohol-related fatalities.
The alarming statistics show last New Years Eve in Florida 122 people were killed due to alcohol-related crashes. 66 of those people had a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.
Bill Dawkins, Leon County Sheriff's Office, stated, "its a holiday like any other holiday with drinking and driving probably more people are out in this holiday than the others make plans ahead."
And AAA gives drivers a few guidelines to follow.
