Tallahassee, FL (AP) - Fifteen high-ranking officials of Florida's corrections system are being let go as new Gov. Rick Scott, and his new corrections chief put their team in place.

Ed Buss, who will take over the department on Monday from outgoing secretary Walt McNeil, starts off with seven new executives named to his management team Wednesday in an announcement from deputy secretary Daniel Ronay.

One warden, a deputy secretary and several assistant secretaries of the state prison system were among those notified that their last day at the department is Friday. No reasons were given for the terminations.

Scott earlier this week announced plans for major cuts for the agency that oversees the state's massive prison system.
