Tallahasssee, FL (AP) - Florida authorities say they're aware
of the smoking packages found at two Maryland state government
buildings, but there was no indication of a similar problem in
Florida Department of Law Enforcement spokesman Keith Kameg said Thursday that the agency was notified immediately after the
Maryland situation began, and they immediately informed Capitol
Maryland officials say two packages produced smoke and odors
when they were opened at two separate state buildings on Thursday.
No injuries were reported.
A Homeland Security Department official says the department is
monitoring incidents. Maryland authorities and the FBI are
