Tallahassee, FL - Around 8 pm Wednesday night, a one car accident near Mahan and Buck Lake Road caused a power outage in the Fallschase shopping plaza.

WCTV sent a crew to the scene of the accident and talked with the driver.

The driver told our photojournalist that he had a coughing fit and ran off Buck Lake Road and flipped onto the service road for Fallschase shopping plaza.

When the driver had lost control, the Lincoln Navigator tore through some power line. It took workers about an hour to restore power.

The driver's name was not released, but he appeared to have nicks and bruises but nothing major in terms of injuries.

WCTV has video of the scene.

I pray all is well for the driver in this accident, especially since he was able to walk away. May God Bless him and his family. Let's excuse the comments in reference to Christmas. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season. Let's quick bickering when someone was blessed to come out of this alive. Walter I am praying for you too.

to eyewitness, not related to the incident but why would you take CHRIST out of CHRISTmas and replace it CHRIST with an X yet say God bless and Xmas is the reason for the season. Last time I checked X was a letter of the alphabet not the reason for the season which is CHRIST which is CHRISTmas. THE REASON FOR THE SEASON IS CHRIST... so now GOD BLESS THIS MAN THAT HE WAS ABLE TO WALK AWAY AND ONLY HAVE MINOR INJURIES..

How inconsiderate can you be. The driver was blessed to walk away and be able to tell what actually happened. I pray he did walk away with only cuts and bruises. Apparently, you don't believe in God, otherwise you would not have make such callous remarks. Rejoice, its Xmas, the reason for the season. May God continue to bless the driver of that vehicle. Walter, get a life...

Walter..So if someone is sick and starts coughing and accidentally loses control of their vehicle, they should have their license revoked?
  • by Walter on Dec 16, 2010 at 04:37 AM
Amazing. If the driver admitted to that, he should have his license revoked.
