Florida Panhandle woman who had been facing a first-degree murder charge has entered a plea for a lesser charge.
Teresa McKee entered a manslaughter plea Monday in Walton County
court. She faces up to 30 years in prison at her May 5 sentencing.
Her first-degree murder trial last month ended with a hung jury.
Authorities say McKee killed her friend, 45-year-old Stephanie
Lockwood, in August 2009. The woman was found dead at her home from
what appeared to be a shotgun blast to her face.
McKee confessed details to deputies during the investigation
that implicated her in Lockwood's death, but a defense attorney
