In honor of National Poetry Month, the Leroy Collins Public Library is hosting its annual event. All teenagers between the age of 13 and 18 are invited to perform three original poems before a panel of judges.
The preliminary round is Tuesday night at 6pm at the Main Library and two other branch locations; the Northeast Branch Library and the Dr. B.L. Perry, Jr. Branch Library. The top three poets from each preliminary location will be invited to perform at the finals Wednesday at 6pm at the Main Library.
