Two South Florida men were charged after an investigation led to the seizure of MDMA or “Molly”, Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

Gretna Police Department, Sergeant Charles Brown and Officer Maximilian Sander stopped 19-year-old Joseph Wajerski for a stop sign violation and discovered a dangerous synthetic lab-created drug which stimulates the nervous system known as “Molly”. In addition, officers also discovered several bags of Marijuana, a loaded firearm, cash and narcotics related devices, according to authorities.

19-year-old Joseph Wajerski and 20-year-old Richard Thornton of Tarpon Springs were arrested and charged. Sergeant Charles Brown of the Gretna Police Department stated: “this drug is very dangerous because no one really knows what chemicals were used to cut it. The “Molly” users can experience; paranoia, anxiety, accelerated heart rates, and many more symptoms”.

Captain Ismael Villegas stated “those drugs and firearm will now be off the streets instead of causing harm.” Both suspects are being held at the Gadsden County Jail.
