SEMINOLE, Fla. (AP) --

Two Pinellas County teens are accused of shooting 275 windows with BB guns.

The teens were arrested Wednesday, Jan. 26 on six counts each of felony criminal mischief. They were each being held in lieu of $15,000
bail and could face additional charges.

Pinellas County Sheriff's officials say they boys -- 18-year-old
Brandon Lee Smith and 19-year-old Evan Keith Salas -- were bored,
so they spent the evening of Jan. 21 shooting out car windows.

Deputies say the teens had recently bought BB guns.

Officials tracked them down using surveillance video footage of
Smith's vehicle.

If they are that bored they need to get out and get a JOB!! I don't understand parents today....my child had to do chores and had a job so she could have a checkbook and learn how to manage her money and be a responsible teenager and adult...they know better than to shoot out car windows...my 8 year and 11 year old grandsons know better than that. Come on parents know where your teens are, keep them so busy that they don't have time to get into trouble!!

Well Gun Banner 2011, children bearing firearms is already heavily restricted. As soon as these two adults get a felony conviction, they too will be prohibited from bearing firearms. Unfortunately they will still be able to bear BB guns.

"Yep" - that idiot "Gun Banner 2011" wrote nothing about "firearms", but he's quite a comedian with his "bare arms" - guess he thinks all kids should wear long-sleeved shirts. And "Bryan" - apparently when you were a teen, you never went to school but spent a lot of time breaking windows. You sure didn't learn to write or spell! No wonder this country has gone to the dogs - it's full of moronic idiots!!

Gun Banner 2011, BB guns are not firearms. You haven't show us where you get all your facts from. Why not? Oh, that's right, there are none! What's your thesis statement? Who's your campaign manager? OK, in all seriousness lets see how dumb you really are. What's your name, DOB, and SSN?

bryan, These are adults, it doesn't matter if they are 18, or 30, or 65 the laws and punishments have to be fairly enforced. If a 30 year old gets felony charges, the teens should get felony charges. Also remember that they had 274 chances to stop doing this. You can't compare your breaking of a few windows to these adults using a gun to break 275 windows.

Bryan, you can't go easy on something like this. What these teens did was destroying personal property. How would you like it if someone destroyed your personal property. Have respect for other people's personal property! They should get jail time - - 275 days, plus they should have to work every day to fix every last one of those windows and still get probation after jail time. That is what's wrong with the system, too lenient. We need to deter crime by making the punishments harsher and send a message that this sort of behavior won't be tolerated.

18 and 19 years old, they need to be treated as adults. The cost to repair the 275 windows amounts to a felony. Make them work days to pay for every one of them, also make sure they are in jail at night. Send a message. "Bored" my foot.
