UPDATE 12-7-2010
Miami, FL (AP) - Authorities in Miami continue to search for the
person who fatally shot a postal worker.

Investigators say 60-year-old Bruce Parton was shot Monday
afternoon. His body was found in the parking lot of an apartment
complex. The shooter took off in the mail truck, which was found
abandoned a short time later.

Authorities haven't released a motive, and won't say if anything
was taken from the truck or whether Parton was shot inside the
vehicle.

Authorities passed out fliers at the apartment complex Tuesday,
seeking tips about the slaying. A $25,000 reward is being offered
for information.

The Miami Herald reports that Parton was the seventh postal
worker killed on the job across America since September of 2009.

Parton was a mail carrier since 1981.
